While there is something to be said about tradition, more and more couples are opting to implement elements into their wedding celebrations unique to their love story. By tailor-fitting a wedding to fit personalities and interests, guests receive an unforgettable experience that cannot be compared to any other wedding!
The Importance of a Guest List
Choosing who will stand up next to you (and sit down in front of you) is not always an easy task. You and your partner may have different ideas of what constitutes a "big" or "small" wedding and might have to make some compromises on your guest list.
Make sure you have your list in a good place before choosing your venue to ensure it can accommodate the number of guests. Similarly, make sure you can budget for your max number of guests to avoid surprises.
COVID has forced various life changes such as layoffs, pregnancies, and other engagements, and remember that some people may not be comfortable attending large weddings. These are all things to consider when choosing who to have join you on your special day.
Making Your Music Selection a Vibe
Though every family and group of friends is different, dancing is a staple at almost every wedding. While it is important to select a music playlist that fits your vibe, you also want to make sure you're not playing too many deep cuts that your guests won't recognize!
Make a list of all the songs that are a "must-play" at your wedding, and similarly make a "do not play" list, so your hired DJ or band knows what requests to avoid. Make sure you leave some wiggle room to give the band or DJ creative freedom so they are able to take liberty if they feel a change within the room and know a song will do well on the dance floor!
If you're having trouble coming up with some dance tracks to add to the mix, Google is your friend! Might we suggest some of our fan favorites?

One sweet idea we love to see at weddings is when the bride and groom incorporate songs that are special to guests, such as their parent's or best friend's wedding songs. This is a simple way to show your friends and family you are thinking of them, even though it is your special day!
