An Epic East Coast Vibe at Loews Chicago O’Hare — Andrea & Abe’s Unforgettable Wedding
On May 31st, 2025, Funktastic Productions brought the ultimate party to Loews Chicago O’Hare for Andrea and Abe’s East Coast-style wedding — and it was one for the books. With a 12-piece band, including a rapper, violin and piano for the ceremony, and nonstop dancing between courses and after dinner, this celebration was packed with energy, heart, and custom musical moments from start to finish.
🎥 Vendor Dream Team
This day couldn’t have come together without the all-star crew:
Venue: @loewsohare
Planner: @jamiebotoninc
Photography: @leathemphotography
Florals/Decor: @josephsevents_
Makeup: @magnificentbrides
Videography: @xpressvideoproductions
Escort Cards: @ericksondesignchicago
Linens: @windycitylinen
Late Night Snack: @superdawgdrivein (yes, they brought hot dogs to the dance floor)
🎻 The Ceremony
The day began with an emotional and creative ceremony soundtracked by violin and piano. Andrea and Abe handpicked some truly unique songs for the occasion, including:
“Latch” by Disclosure ft. Sam Smith
“The Recipe” by Kendrick Lamar & Dr. Dre (Bonus Track!)
Bride Entrance: “Let’s Get Married” by Jagged Edge
Recessional: “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield
Their choices made the ceremony feel deeply personal — elegant, yet totally them. Our Violin and Piano arranged this music specifically, if you can imagine giving Kendrick Lamar's "The Receipie" a romantic twist!
The decor transformed the ballroom into a soft, romantic, and modern space. Ice blue napkins, mirrored table numbers, and elegant floating candles gave the evening a cool, candlelit glow — perfectly paired with the emotional ceremony and the high-energy party to come.

💃 The Party Begins
From the second guests entered the reception space, the tone was set. This was an East Coast-style wedding, which meant dancing between courses, hyped-up intros, and full-out club vibes by the end of the night.
We kicked things off with:
Immediately as guests entered the ballroom from cocktails favorites like “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “Dancing Queen,” and “Hollywood Swingin’”
Bride & Groom Intro to “What’s Luv?” by Fat Joe & Ashanti (DJ’d)
First Dance to “Love Like This” by Faith Evans — the perfect groove to get the room on its feet
And then... the dance floor opened to “Salt Shaker” and “September” and never looked back.
