This includes a 2nd PA system, Wireless Mics, Engineer Violin and Piano for Ceremony + up to 30 minutes as guests arrive for your Chicago ceremony music! - Chicago Jazz Trio for Cocktails - MC Services/Master of Ceremonies - Premium Sound & Stage Lighting - 3 Hours for Dancing after dinner -OR- 4 Hours with dancing in between courses (New York style weddings) - 6 to 15 Musicians Not only do we provide our Music Director to help plan the music, we also offer our dedicated logistics specialist who coordinates the entire entertainment experience of the night. Wireless Room Uplights, Photo Booths, Dance Floor Lighting, Light-up Wristbands your guests wear that sync with the music we play, and more! Our Logistics specialist works right alongside you, your planner, and our band to give you the ultimate concert experience.

We play dance music from all genres! What defines FUNKTASTIC is the band’s ability to play an eclectic repertoire with stylistic accuracy. Spanning from weddings to our residency Chicago venues at The Bassment and Untitled Supper Club, on any given night you may hear Anderson Paak, Earth Wind & Fire, Kanye West, Outkast, and Queen all in one set and make it sound FIRE! We take great pride in being a musical vibe, and not a genre. Your Chicago wedding music can be chosen by picking songs from our Song List, which spans over 10 genres of music. We don't require a "DO NOT PLAY" list, because we only play what you tell us to play!

Our live band brings a level of sophistication, elegance and entertainment value that is not compromised. We have years and years to experience playing together, which makes our energy and sets incomparable with our chemistry. In fact, there's so much chemistry that there's no sheet music on stage. Funktastic has personality and keeps the dance floor packed. Our band members are enjoyable to watch, treat guests with respect and play at just the right volume. For those who feel they just need to hear certain songs performed by the original artist, we can also offer a band/DJ combo at minimal additional cost. This may also be of interest for those with venue that allows for a “club” themed after party. We can also offer enhanced lighting packages.

Our 6 piece wedding band is best if you have a smaller wedding reception, but still want the full band feeling at your reception. All of our packages are customizable for your event experience. Our 13 piece band is the most popular because we have brass / horns with our full band including an MC to help dinner and cocktails. MULTIPLE BAND MEMBERS SING BACKGROUND HARMONIES INCLUDING SINGING HORN LINES which creates a very full sound even in our smaller packages. Our Chicago wedding band will assist with all logistics planning to ensure we have the appropriate spacing.

No! Contrary to some large office practice, the price you are quoted is the price you pay. Unless otherwise specified, all insurance, production costs, crew and standard lighting are included. Please keep this in mind when comparison shopping.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions and speak your mind! This is your event and we’re sure that you have a good picture in your mind of how you would like things to go. With your ideas and our talent and experience, you can be sure that yours will be an event to remember! Upon booking us, we'll provide you with a password-protected portal where you can view all email conversations between us, documents, and music planning resources. This is great for your fiance, family, and planner to ensure that no important details get lost EVER!

If by chance we don’t know a wedding song, we have no problem adding it to our repertoire if we are given adequate notice. We learn up to 7 customized songs for you if they aren't in our song repertoire. Many clients use our song list to highlight favorites and more importantly point out songs they do not want to hear. Usually, a few of the special requests are dedicated to first dances, and other special requests we'll sprinkle in throughout our dance band sets!

We carry FULL LIABILITY INSURANCE with a $5,000,000 Policy. We'll reach out to your venue contact & planner ahead of time to provide a Certificate of Insurance if needed. If it's a venue we are familiar with, most likely they will already have our Certificate of Insurance on file!

Yes, our ON SITE SOUND ENGINEER will be there for the entire duration of your event. We typically load into the venue anywhere from 4 hours for chicago dance band and 1-2 for DJ. All packages we offer include Premium sound and stage lighting! Our dance band chicago is often seen on vendor preferred lists at warehouse-converted spaces, museums with high ceilings, spaces with large glass windows, and large ballrooms because venues trust our experience in perfecting the acoustics in all types of complex spaces.
