Chicago Wedding Band at Rockwell on The River

Updated: Apr 17

Jazz Guitar for Cocktails & The perfect Grand Entrance Song

Guests arrived at Rockwell on the River to celebrate Caitlin and Patrick. They were greeted by the sounds of our cocktail jazz guitarist to begin the night. He played classic jazz standards and love songs while guests mingled on the outside terrace and indoor cocktail area. Guests cheered on as the couple began their grand entrances! The wedding party came dancing in to the popular Beyoncé song "Crazy in Love," while the bride and groom received a standing ovation to "Sunday Best" by Surfaces. Dinner moved swiftly as everyone was ready for Funktastic to get everyone on the dance floor.

Mother Son Dance and Father Daughter Dance Songs

Starting the dancing off with the mother-son dance, Patrick danced with his mom to "Dancing in the Moonlight" by King Harvest, and Caitlin danced with her dad to "Little Bird" by the Jonas Brothers. After honoring their parents, Patrick and Caitlin finally danced for the first time as husband and wife to "Rose of Sharon" by Mumford and Sons.

Anniversary Dance

If you want to honor your grandparents at your wedding, please follow in the footsteps of this couple by having an anniversary dance game! They chose to dance to the song "You Are the Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne. As couples who have been married for 1, 3, 5, 10 years left the dance floor, there stood Caitlin’s grandparents, who had well over 50 years of marriage under their belt, as the final couple left.

Motown Band for Dancing

Paying homage to Prince, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, David Bowie, and more, the guests danced the night away with Funktastic's 10-piece big band! Our chicago dance band's horns really brought fun energy to the classic Motown tunes, adding fullness to the sound and keeping the dance floor packed the entire night!
